Breathtaking, passionate, inspiring opera for the community
Norman Espinoza, a Basso from San Jose, is delighted to be performing in his first production with Bayshore Lyric Opera as Leporello. Norman has performed with San Jose State Opera Theater, Opera San Jose and Verismo Opera. He is currently involved with Opera San Jose's K-12 Outreach production of Il Barbiere Di Siviglia as Bartolo. He will make his debut with Verismo Opera this fall as Tom in Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera” and Lodovico in “Otello”. Also next fall will debut the role of Ferrando in another Verdi favorite, “Il Trovatore”. Recent roles include Seneca, “L'incoronazione di Poppea”, Hariadeno, “Ormindo”, Pa, “The Grapes of Wrath“, Sarastro, “Die Zauberflöte”, Bartolo “Le Nozze di Figaro” and King Balthazar, “Amahl and the Night Visitors”. Norman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from San Jose State University.
